Frequently Asked Questions — Selling & Buying Watches in Toronto
Timing & process
How fast do you reply?
Typically within ~1 hour, 7 days a week. If we ever take longer, it’s because we’re pulling live market comps to give you an accurate number rather than a lowball guess.
How do you determine my offer?
We base offers on real secondary-market comparables (Chrono24, WatchCharts, dealer networks) and adjust for condition, set completeness (box & papers), service history, and current demand for your exact reference. We always explain our reasoning.
What information should I include when I submit?
Brand, model, reference number (if you know it), approximate year, condition, and what’s included (box, papers, extra links, service records). Photos are helpful but not required — we can collect them over WhatsApp after you submit.
Payment & safety
Where do we meet?
A secure, neutral location of your choosing. Most clients prefer their own bank branch, which lets you verify funds instantly. We travel within the GTA; outside it by arrangement.
What payment methods do you offer?
Bank draft, wire transfer, Interac e-Transfer (subject to your daily limits), or cash for smaller transactions. Funds clear the same day you accept.
Is the watch inspected before payment?
Yes. Every cash offer is finalized after we physically inspect and authenticate the watch — case, movement, dial, and bracelet. Our pre-inspection quote is an estimate; the final offer happens in person.
Cash offer vs. consignment
Which is right for me?
Cash offer is for people who want speed and certainty — same-day payment, zero hassle.
Consignment is for people who want to maximize return and are willing to wait weeks or months. We market the watch to our buyer network and split the upside.
How does consignment work?
You sign a simple consignment agreement setting the target price, commission, and term. The watch stays your property until sold; we insure it while it’s in our possession. If it doesn’t sell in the agreed term, you can extend or take it back.
Brands & conditions we accept
What brands do you buy?
Rolex, Tudor, Omega, and Cartier. If you’re not sure, submit anyway — we’ll tell you honestly if it’s not in our wheelhouse and often refer you to someone who can help.
Do you buy worn or damaged watches?
Yes. We buy watches in any condition from like-new to heavily worn or non-running. Price reflects condition, but there’s almost always a buyer out there.
Do you buy watch-only (no box/papers)?
Yes, very often. Full sets command a premium but watch-only is completely sellable.
What other luxury brands do you evaluate?
Beyond Rolex, Tudor, Omega, and Cartier, we also evaluate Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, IWC, Panerai, and other fine timepieces. Submit yours and we’ll give you an honest answer — if it’s outside our wheelhouse, we’ll say so and often point you in the right direction.
Buying a pre-owned watch
Can I buy a pre-owned luxury watch from 6ixwatches?
We occasionally have pre-owned luxury watches available through our consignment network — Rolex, Omega, Cartier, and more. Message us on WhatsApp to ask about current availability of specific models or references. No listings on the site yet; everything moves through direct contact.
